There are lots of things here that want to eat me.

at the end of south america, we found triple decker Oreos!

SOUTH AFRICA

this is how we are getting around in South Africa. The BazBus picks up and drops off from hostel to hostel all along the coast.

Hermanus. right out of Cape Town. Shark and whale country

Great White Shark right below my feet. We had sharks circling the boat for about 2 hours straight. The biggest one may have been around 15ft. Once we got into the cage, we were down for about 30 minutes with them. I haven't developed our underwater photos yet.

A rock dassie. its a very close relative to the elephant apparently. These little guys are all over the coast

southern right whales

anchors are quite heavy

ostrich pecking at the Highgate Ostrich Farm in Oudtshoorn. Soon after, he started pecking my hair.

strong ostrich eggs. apparently they can hold over 250lbs

a dwarf ostrich. his mate is also a dwarf

i'm an ostrich rider

gorgeous

1 ostrich egg = 24 chicken eggs. Aside from this massive amount of scrambled eggs, I also ate an ostrich/croc pizza and an ostrich/croc/antelope kebab.

A Lemur in MonkeyLand. A primate rehabilitation center in Plettenberg Bay. His sunning looks a lot like meditating.

longest suspension bridge in the southern hemisphere

World's highest bungy jump - 216m

hooray, I lived

out first game drive was in Addo Elephant National Park. This old elephant used to break down all the fences. Also, this is how tall he stood

it's our priorities that put us at the top of the food chain

the treacherous Kudu staring contest. It is a sport here to put Kudu poo in your mouth and spit it as far as you can.

Kudu in hiding

On driving northeast along the coast, we passed Nelson Mandela's house. The flags aren't up, so he's not home

These waves along the Indian Ocean beat me up. I was still spitting out sand the next morning. It was awesome.

Andrea and I dressed in Zulu

then we did some Zulu dancing

Here in St. Lucia, I had a delicious crocodile curry

in St. Lucia wetlands, Africa's #1 killer roams the streets...the hippo

We are meeting up with Christian to go on a Safari in Kruger National Park. Hopefully to see the rest of the Big 5. The Big 5 are the lion, leopard, elephant, cape buffalo, and rhino. All we need now is the leopard and the rhino.
